Postdocs

We are always looking to recruit talented, creative and dedicated individuals with interest in Organic Chemistry. If you are interested in working in the Rios group then please get in touch via email. Projects in our lab span across several themes and disciplines hence we welcome applications from anyone interested in the beauty of organic synthesis with a solid background in organic/organometallic/synthetic/supramolecular chemistry. Funded opportunities to join our group will be advertised here and on https://jobs.soton.ac.uk/ when they become available.

PhD Students

Funded PhD opportunities:

Any funded PhD opportunities will be advertised here, on https://jobs.soton.ac.uk/ and https://www.findaphd.com/ when they become available. PhD positions in our group are available usually starting in October.
Applicants will need to meet the requirements of the University of Southampton to be considered. Those notably include a relevant academic background (chemistry or related), academic excellence demonstrated by suitable transcripts (minimum 2:1 or equivalent), and evidence of fluency in the use of English (usually IELTS 6.0-6.5).

Self-funded studentships:

We also welcome applications from highly motivated candidates of any nationality. International students will be required to meet the criteria mentioned above and must provide evidence that they can cover the cost of UK living expenses and tuition fees for a minimum of 3 years.
